WRITING WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS WITH

AUTHOR ARCHIMEDE FUSILLO

 

It is a great privilege to offer this sort of workshop to our BB customers as Archimede Fusillo is a well respected writer and one of the most in-demand and successful presenters of author talks and workshops in Australia. This 6 hour complete workshop is great value and guaranteed to inspire and help your writing. This workshop will be hands on and practical for 18+ adults interested in learning or furthering their writing skills. The sessions will cover the following aspects; fundamentals of writing, character development, scene descriptions, alternate structures, creating realistic dialogue, editing your work, looking at the publishing industry and tips on getting published. There will be great opportunity to ask questions, review work and gain feedback.

 

Date and time: Saturday 17th March 10am-1pm AND / OR Saturday 24th March 10am-1pm.Two sessions on offer or just do one session if you prefer. Due to the practical nature of this workshop, each session will be capped at 20 participants.

 

Venue: Sam Merrifield Library meeting room, 762 Mt Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds (near Clocktower Centre). 

 

Cost: $45 per session or $80 for the two sessions ($10 saving if doing two sessions) this includes snacks and beverages at both sessions. Cash only

Archimede FusilloAbout the presenter: Archimede Fusillo, the son of Italian migrants, was born and grew up in Melbourne. Success with short stories about growing up in a multi­cultural Melbourne led Archie to try his hand at writing a novel. In 1997 his first novel, Sparring With Shadows, was a Notable Children's Book Council of Australia book and went on to be shortlisted for the Italy in the World Literature Awards. He followed this up with The Dons, Bruises and later Last of the Braves, among others.

PARENTS IN FOCUS SEMINARS                                                    
Held at 9am or 6pm on a weekday to suit your mother's group or parent friendship group (Grandparents and dads welcome also!). Session goes for 45minutes. Reading to your child just 15 minutes a day could make a big difference to their self-esteem as well as their language and social development but some parents are unsure where to start. Come along to Book Bonding’s one off monthly workshops that focus on why, how and what to read aloud to your kids (targeting 0-5 year olds).

Cost is FREE, and then you get 10% off discussed authors / titles for an hour afterwards. Free tea / coffee.

Bookings are essential. Minimum of 5 parents per workshop. Kids are welcome.
