This programme is for adults (18+) and runs for 12 months from January to December, every calendar year - though you can join mid way through. There is no criteria other than the passion to read and discuss books. Held on a set day each month (unless a public holiday) and lasting about 2 hours. The group will meet at a local cafe, where food and drinks / beverages can be purchased. Each group will have minimum 6 and 12 maximum members and continue the cycle for 12 months. Book Bonding presents a topic each month with about eight books for consideration. Decision made by majority vote of the group. Books can be borrowed from your local library / friend if you prefer though of course we encourage book sales from us!. Membership is paid annually each January. This does go towards your loyalty points – a further 10% saving. Any new member that joins after January each year will have relevant number of month membership deducted from the $36 component of the upfront payment. There are three options; BASIC 4- The minimum bookclub joining fee will be $150 for the year, which will include 4 bookclub titles at your choosing and the admin fee of $36. Any further books purchased will receive the 10% discount. SILVER 6 - $200 which will include 6 bookclub titles at your choosing and the admin fee of $36. Any further books purchased will receive the 10% discount. GOLD 10- $285 which will include 10 bookclub titles of your choosing selected for the year and the reduced admin fee of $24. This allows for missing two months of bookclub / or if you already have the book. ** These memberships are not transferable to other titles or items within the store. Once membership is paid for, it cannot be cancelled and cannot have books changed from the selected book when requested for that month.* If selected books are not chosen by end of the year, they cannot be carried over into future year or towards other books. * Tell your friends or family to perhaps consider buying your membership as a Christmas gift – a gift that will keep on giving! * 5% discount on external bookclub reading lists if 5 or more of the same title purchased and paid at the same time.
